What's Next for rivertown?

Well, the first run is now over and our audiences loved the show. We are very pleased with how the show turned out and how well the cast performed the show. Now Yancy and I will take some time away from the show and then consider changes to the show. Nothing really major, but some needed tweaks. I might compose a new song, we might change the order somewhat, touch up the dialog and who knows what else? My plan (Charles) is to look for another high school to perform the show next year and do some final polishing before "locking the show down". After that I intend on doing some limited marketing in several states and we will see what happens. There is hope that we will have a summer run of the show in Madison - maybe by 2011 and outdoors  - we will see how that works out. It has been a great experience, but I believe that the show will have appeal outside Madison, Indiana. I really expect Rivertown and its charming songs and dialog to be performed in many places in the years to come. The musical - like all musicals - is about people, a place and a time.
