2. My Hometown - the town "patriarch" Preston Harper sings lovingly about his hometown, Madison.
3. Madison - the whole town sings their "Oklahoma" song!

4. The River - Four characters (child, maid, steamboat captain and a slave on the KY side) sing about the river from their viewpoint.
1837
5. Only the Irish - a rousing number with a lot of dancing - the Irish proudly sing about building the railroad.
6. Lost in Madison - a "country bumpkin" gets lost in BIG Madison while driving in her hogs.
7. Everything but the Squeal - the hog workers sing about how they process everything but the squeal!
1855
8. Dirty Business - a slave catcher sings about his occupation with no apologies - not a nice fellow.
10. One Day - an escaping slave couple sing about their hope for the future as they head north.
1863
11. The Union Calls - a Union Army recruitment scene - the patriarch's grandson signs up.
12. I Need to Go - the grandson explains why needs to join the Union cause.
13. An Empty Place in My Heart/I Need to Go duet - the grandson dies in the war and his widow sings of her loss
Act 2
1873
1. Down at the River - a large production number - the showboat has arrived!
2. Hoosier Rag - a piano rag by Indiana composer, Julia Neibergall arranged by Charles Moman
3. Listen to the Mockingbird - period piece arranged by Charles Moman - child impersonation of Jenny Lind
4. It's Not So Bad - children from the local orphanage sing about their lives.
5. The Reuben G. Wells - a short song about Madison's powerful locomotive used on the incline.
1886
6. A Simple Drink of Water - a comedy number sung by two "Laurel and Hardy" kind of characters - they will appear in several scenes. Yep - it has something to do with the Broadway Fountain.
1909
7. We Make it Here - another production number about Madison's many industries.
8. The Fireman of Madison - volunteer fire companies singing about their job.
9. From That First Dance - a ballroom scene where the patriarch reminisces about meeting his wife at a firemen's ball.
10. An Empty Place in My Heart reprise - Preston Harper
11. The Trolley and Me - the women trolley conductors sing about their job.
12. One Hundred Years from Now - what will Madison be like in 100 years?
13. My Hometown reprise - Preston Harper
